This article only applies to Squared Up Version 2.0. If you're looking for help with Squared Up Version 3.0, please visit our new knowledge base

After making your new version of Squared Up live, you may decide that the older version is no longer necessary.

In order to remove it, simply issue the following command from a command prompt with administrative privileges

This will make your v2.x copy of Squared Up unavailable for approximately 30 seconds and will terminate any active sessions

"C:\inetpub\wwwroot\squaredupv2\tools\config.exe" uninstall 1.9

Why is this necessary?

The uninstaller included with Squared Up 1.x makes assumptions about the virtual directory paths used by the product. Because making 2.x live alters these paths, the assumptions made by the uninstaller no longer hold true. Issuing the command above performs a sequence of steps that allow the uninstaller to complete successfully.

Running this command does nothing / just gives me usage text for the configuration tool

Please upgrade to the latest version of Squared Up

The command fails or produces unexpected output / lots of red text
