License Warning

Unable to verify your product license. The license server returned the following error: There is an error in XML document (1,2)

Procedure

Check that the users.xml file has all the elements required.  You will find the users.xml file here:

C:\inetpub\wwwroot\SquaredUpv2\AppState\users.xml

For example, "There is an error in XML document (1,2)" indicates that the first line is incorrect or missing.

Check the format of the users.xml file:

1. Check the first lines are correct as shown below:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<NamedUserData xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">

<NamedUsers>

<NamedUser>

<UserName>mydomain\user1</UserName>

</NamedUser>

<NamedUser>

<UserName>mydomain\user2</UserName>

</NamedUser>

<NamedUser>

<UserName>mydomain\user3</UserName>

</NamedUser>

</NamedUsers>

</NamedUserData>

2. Ensure that each xml tag and ending tag is correct.

    <NamedUser>

      <UserName>mydomain\username</UserName>

    </NamedUser>

3. Check that the file ends with:

</NamedUser>

</NamedUsers>

</NamedUserData>
