Following the installation of server updates and/or a reboot of the Squared Up server you are unable to access Squared Up and see one of the following errors:
404 - File or directory not found - The resource you are looking or has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.
403 - Forbidden: Access is denied" when accessing Squared Up
HTTP Error 404.0 Not Found
If you are only receiving the 404 error for Open Access dashboards, please upgrade to the latest version of Squared Up.
Check if the following file exists on the Squared Up server:
If PrecompiledApp.config does not exist in this folder, download it from this article and place it in this folder.
1. In IIS Manager, browse to <Your server>/Application Pools
2. Select ‘SquaredUp’ or ‘SquaredUpv2’ from the list
3. Right click and select ‘Recycle…’ (or choose ‘Recycle…’ in the MMC action bar)
If the PrecompiledApp.config does exist
If you were getting an 404 error please see The page was not found (HTTP 404)
If you are getting the 403 error we recommend you backup and install (or reinstall) the latest version of Squared Up, as described below:
1. Backup your dashboards and user profiles by backing up the following files and folders:
C:\inetpub\wwwroot\SquaredUpv2\Maps (if you have it)
If you have any problems please run the Squared Up Diagnostics Script and send the resulting script to Squared Up Support along with a screenshot and description of the error/problem you are experiencing.
